Hi, I'm Franz
Photographer, developer, and founder of Photoglacier
Too many features, too little focus. I was paying for CRM tools, contract generators, and print shops I never needed, just to get decent photo galleries. So I built something better.
How it all started
I've been taking photos for over 10 years and work full-time as a software developer. Whether portraits, events, or commercial projects: After every job came the same question. How do I deliver my photos professionally to clients? USB drives felt outdated, download links impersonal, and cloud folders just weren't beautiful enough for the work I wanted to deliver.
Searching for the right solution
I tested various platforms for photographers. They all had beautiful galleries, but came bundled with mountains of features I never needed. CRM systems for client management? Already had one. Contract generators? Not necessary. Print shops? My clients order elsewhere. I was paying monthly for features I'd never use, just to access the basics.
So I built Photoglacier
In mid-2024, I started building my own solution. No compromises. Only the features that truly matter. Beautiful galleries, smart organization with subsets, download control, and feedback features that help me understand which photos clients love. And when teams needed a way to review and annotate images together, Boards was born, bringing collaborative workflows into the same platform.
I wanted software that respects visual professionals, not one that tries to be everything and ends up doing nothing right.
What I believe in

Every feature earns its place. If it doesn't make your workflow faster or your galleries better, it doesn't ship.
